Laura is a senior at Santaluces Community High School. She looks forward to pursuing a major in behavioral neuroscience. She had the opportunity to join the Tian lab through the Max Planck Florida Institute High School Summer Internship Program, which allowed her to explore and gain interest in molecular biology. Laura works under the mentorship of Yiwei Hua who is working on developing fluorescent biosensors for dopamine as well as improving serotonin biosensors. In her spare time Laura enjoys playing soccer, drawing, and painting.
