Akash holds an undergraduate degree in Biotechnology from the Vellore Institute of Technology and a PhD in Neuroscience from Central Michigan University, where he developed bioluminescent biosensors for neural activity. He is now a postdoctoral scholar in the Tian lab, developing GCPR-based biosensors for neurotransmitters and neuromodulators. Akash enjoys playing Xbox when not in the lab.
