Ji-You Min is a PhD student in the Tian Lab. Before joining the lab, she studied the role of the anterior insular cortex in social recognition memory in the Cho lab, where she received her M.S. in neuroscience. She also worked as a researcher at a precision medical startup, where she studied the mutation spectrum and clinical characteristics of rare diseases in Korean patients. Currently, her research focuses on elucidating the influence of serotonin on reward-based learning. She aspires to understand how serotonin modulates target circuits and behavioral states via direct recording of serotonin release patterns by using genetically encoded sensors. Outside of the lab, you can find Ji-You doing ballet or yoga.
