Lisa is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Biomedical Sciences at Florida Atlantic University’s Charles E. Schmidt College of Medicine. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences, with minors in Interdisciplinary Sciences and Chemistry, from Florida State University. As part of her master’s program, Lisa interned at FAU’s Stiles-Nicholson Brain Institute in Dr. Ning Quan’s lab, where she focused on the role of neuronal IL-1R1 in brain development and function, particularly its impact on behavior and social functioning. In her free time, Lisa enjoys weightlifting, attending cycling classes, and exploring new restaurants.
