Yihan graduated from UC Davis in 2017 with a B.S. in Biological Sciences. Upon graduation, she worked as a laboratory assistant and developed her interest in neuroscience research and mentorship. She is currently a Ph.D. student in the Neuroscience graduate group at UC Davis. Her research interests involve neuronal activity and its role in learning and adapting to environmental stimuli. She is working to engineer and characterize new biosensors to investigate the functional activity of synaptic glutamate and neuropeptides. Outside of the lab, you can find her running, cooking, and spending time with friends.
