Yiwei graduated from UC Davis in 2021 with a B.S. in Neuroscience, Physiology, and Behavior. Her undergraduate coursework and laboratory experience are what sparked an interest in molecular neurobiology. She is now a PhD student in the MCIP graduate group and is working on developing fluorescent biosensors for dopamine.
